Small Christian Seekers Community for Young People

Young people are the future. Concerned about their feeling isolated from the Church and its teachings, CCRI has begun hosting online Small Communities for Young Adult Seekers to offer them a safe place to share their concerns and find support for the life issues they face. As an international and diverse group meeting twice a month on Zoom, these groups will be led by Alloys Nyakundi, a young man from Kenya who has received his Masters from Loyola University and trained to lead these gatherings. He is committed to assist each group in growing together and, if they choose, seeking to find their rightful place within the Catholic community. The next gathering is scheduled on July 21. Post your synodal reports where others can read them

In the interest of openness and transparency in governance processes, CCRI is creating a platform for an open sharing of submissions to the synod office which Pope Francis has initiated. You are invited to send us a copy of your submission, be it from a parish group, a local community, a diocese, or a Small Christian Community that has responded to Pope Francis’s call to engage in the Synodal Process. We will post these on our website www.ThePeopleSpeakOut.org to make them accessible to all. To ensure submissions are authentic, we will only post those that are authored, i.e. include a name of an individual or group and location (city, state, country) of the submitters. We look forward to your sharing these for all to read.

Purchase this book with a tax-free donation to CCRI

A Nun’s Journey has been gifted to Catholic Church Reform Int’l, a non-profit organization. All purchases of this book are tax-deductible and will go to support the reform movement of the Catholic Church. Go to Amazon to purchase a Kindle e-book for $9.99, the paperback edition for $19.99, or the hardback edition for $29.99. For a personalized autographed copy, click on www.ReneReid.com and click “Order” in the top left corner. When you have read the book, it would be helpful if you go back to Amazon and click “rating” to rate it and write a review. Your support to this project is most appreciated.

When you make a donation to support our cause, you join with others who are investing in restoring our Church to what Jesus intended. The dollars we receive are used to run our programs and to reach a broad spectrum of the People of God. We are focused on reaching out to the Faithful, reform activists, as well as those who feel abandoned by the Church. A significant share of funds are currently going to support our online Zoom Small Seekers Community for young people . Your personal contributions in offering your suggestions and your donations are most appreciated.

Walking the journey with you, in peace,

Our CCRI strategy team

Rene Reid, director

Speaking Out with One Unified Global Voice

"...Until we raise a common voice, we will not only not be heard, we will not even be listened to....

My hope is that by speaking out together - a strong chorus of calls for reform - we can provide a common, a clear, a strong and ongoing voice for the yet incomplete vision of Vatican II.

In common cause, let us band together across the world. By our desire to be heard on particular issues - all of them important - let us not lose the strength of our common voice by reducing it to a whisper.

In light of this, we invite individuals and organizations to join together in making known our opinions for the good of our Church. By uniting our voices, it is not about abandoning the unique work of your organization but rather about how your work can enhance global reform."

Sr. Joan Chittister, CCRI Special advisor

"We have to join our forces in order to reach a real breakthrough in this window of opportunity." Hans Kung, CCRI Consultor

"When spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion." [Ethiopian proverb]

"Sticks in a bundle are unbreakable." [Kenyan proverb]

"(The Christian faithful) have the right and even at times the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful." (Canon 212 §3)

CCRI is also interested in helping support various causes in regions of the world by garnering the support of our entire global community for those who need support beyond their parish, organization, or locale. Send us (1) your name and affiliation, or (2) the name of your group with some description of your goals, membership, and numbers. Click here to see those organizations who have already joined together speaking out for reform of our Church.
