About the Book: As co-founder of Catholic Church Reform Int’l, Rene Reid’s attraction to Church reform began in the 60s while the Second Vatican Council was in session.
After joining a religious community in 1962, she was drawn to the reform movement to bring the Church into the modern world. Unable to pursue theology as a woman religious, Rene left to pursue those studies and work professionally for Church renewal.
She fell in love with James Kavanaugh, the former Catholic priest and published poet known for his controversial bestseller A Modern Priest Looks at His Outdated Church. His incessant leaving and returning over the years led Kavanaugh to finally understand that, beyond personal ambitions and life goals, love is what matters most.
