Our coming Global Ecclesial Synod Council meeting will be Saturday, May 27. Maggie Conway with Root & Branch will be providing an update on Spirit Unbounded and how you can become more involved. Currently, more than 1500 people are registered from all over the world. Spirit Unbounded will be hosting an online discussion on Human Rights in the Catholic Church featuring keynote speakers Mary McAleese and Sr. Joan Chittister to be held 8 – 14 October, 2023. This event will coincide with the 2023 General Assembly in Rome wherein about 25% of the voting participants will be the laity.
Stolen Lives is the first project launched within Root & Branch. They’ve now launched a second publication called “It’s Our Church and it’s up to us!” It’s written for ordinary people like ourselves to encourage people to take action. A two-sided leaflet summarizing the key messages of Spirit Unbounded is now available. All are encouraged to download it and share it with your network.
